Robin’s journey began on stage as the lead singer and frontman of Backstreet, the top pop/rock band in North Texas for four consecutive years. With awards and accolades like being named one of the “10 Bands to Watch” by Billboard Magazine, Backstreet gained notable traction in the competitive Dallas/Fort Worth music scene. The band hit #1 on Texas Top 40 radio with “DFW Girls,” a local spin on the classic Beach Boys hit “California Girls,” along with two other singles that landed in the top 10.
Robin’s career took the band to the national stage on Ed McMahon’s Star Search, leading to record deals, opening performances for a number of iconic rock bands, and a career highlight of performing for 70,000 people at KVIL Radio’s Summer Bash alongside Restless Heart and Starship. This journey not only established Robin as a respected musician but taught him firsthand the dynamics of captivating an audience on major stages.

Robin's career in music has spanned genres, industries, and stages—from his beginnings as a rock frontman to his unique role as a keynote speaker who infuses live music into his presentations. After his years with Backstreet, Robin transitioned into roles that kept him close to the industry, including National Marketing Director for a leading record label and producing award-winning music documentaries. These experiences deepened his understanding of performance and showmanship, which he later brought to the stage in a new way as The Rockstar Speaker & Performance Coach, captivating audiences by combining motivational insights with electric guitar and vocals in his keynote presentations.
Following the success of his Emmy-winning TV series Troubadour TX, which featured up-and-coming acoustic artists, Robin was inspired to return to his roots as a live performer. Today, he’s a solo acoustic artist performing throughout the Texas Hill Country, where his unique blend of storytelling and musicianship continues to draw loyal fans. His performances are marked by authenticity, connection, and a passion for music that resonates with each audience, attracting both regular followers and new fans at every show.
